About This Initiative
VanMitra is a green initiative built on the powerful concept of “Each One, Plant One, Protect One”
It connects children with nature by assigning each student a tree to nurture, creating a deep sense of responsibility while building greener school environments.
What We Aim to Do:
- Build a green ecosystem across rural schools
- Encourage environmental responsibility in children
- Improve school engagement through ownership
- Provide nutrition, shade, and biodiversity
- Create a sustainable, long-term environmental impact
How It Started:
VanMitra was born from a simple observation — rural schools lacked green cover, and children lacked opportunities for meaningful engagement beyond classrooms. By combining environmental action with student participation, VanMitra transforms tree plantation into a personal journey for every child.
